New Zealand Alpine Ski team member Willis Feasey was in action at Coronet Peak on Tuesday during the final FIS Australia and New Zealand Continental Cup giant slalom race.

Feasey finished third overall and, as the highest-ranking Australian or New Zealand skier, secured the ANC bib and a fixed spot in the alpine skiing world cup circuit.

Coach Nils Coberger said Feasey and team-mate Adam Barwood had also ticked off one of the New Zealand Olympic Committee selection criterions for Korea 2018.

The slalom event began yesterday and ends today. It features 20 world cup racers, making it a ``world-class field''.

The final races in the ANC will be the super G and alpine combined, to be held at Mt Hutt on Tuesday and Wednesday.
