Paul Coll became the first New Zealand male to reach the Hong Kong Open final after battling past four-time champion Mohamed ElShorbagy in an entertaining four-game encounter yesterday.
The game plan from world No 4 Coll was evident from the outset, looking to find his length and accuracy down both wings and it proved effective in a 11-4, 11-8, 7-11, 11-3 win in just under an hour.
Coll was to meet World No1 Ali Farag in the final last night.
