Otago competitors Drew Schievink and Genevieve Devereux reached the podium at the Australian Schools Games in Sydney this week.
Schievink, a pupil at Columba College, was competing in the boys aged 11 grade and won a silver medal in the platform with a personal-best score of 124.30 points.
He also came third in the combined 1m and springboard dives with 127.85 points.
Schievink also competed in the synchronised event with Megan Springer (Hamilton) and finished seventh with 95.64 points.
Devereux (17), a pupil at St Hilda's Collegiate, won a silver medal in the girls aged 17 to 19 synchronised dive with Kayla Forket (Hamilton) with 212.34 points. It was a personal-best score for the pair by 26 points.
Devereux, who is coached by Becky Marquet at Moana Pool, also came seventh in the combined 1m and 3m springboard event with 265 points and was seventh on the platform with 204 points.
The next event for the pair is the Meryn Campbell Invitation meet, in Hamilton next month.
