The United States ski racing team completed its first training run at Coronet Peak's Rocky Gully on Thursday.
Vonn and Miller are among the team that will be training at Coronet Peak over the coming weeks as part of their build-up to the World Cup.
Miller is the most successful American alpine skier to date, with five Olympic medals, four world titles and 32 World Cup victories to his name.
Vonn joined the elite ranks this year when she won gold in the downhill at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Coronet Peak race and events manager Richard Murphy said while hosting successful ski racers at the ski field was nothing new, "this year it's that bit more exciting".
"It was great to see the US team arrive ... and be able to personally congratulate the guys and girls on their success on the World Cup circuit and the Vancouver Winter Olympics."
Coronet Peak has been the main southern hemisphere training centre for the American alpine team for about 18 years.
