Chowdhoory will claim 4kg off leading Cromwell Cup hope Elfee.
Carrying 55kg should give Elfee a major advantage in the 2030m feature.
"With the 4kg claim she is thrown in at the weights and she will be hard to beat again," Matthew Pitman said.
"She is a super honest mare. The whole time we have had her I think she has failed to get a cheque once and that was a long time ago now.
"She has been thriving off the racing and that is why we have kept her in work so long."
The Pitman camp have faith that Chowdhoory, who is new to South Island racing, can produce a gun ride.
"He sits lovely on a horse and he has had a lot of experience.
"He worked for Gai Waterhouse for three or four years before going to Richard Collett’s and then coming down to us on loan."
Elfee carried 58.5kg to win a premier race at the New Zealand Cup carnival in which the Terry Kennedy-trained Princess Brook put in a massive run for second.
Princess Brook will faces a 5kg weight-swing on Elfee compared their last starts.
Elfee also beat rivals Lochan Ora, Kaharau and Come Fly With Me in her Riccarton win.
Corey Campbell claims 2kg off Gallant Boy.
The Brian and Shane Anderton-trained topweight will carry 58kg.
Gallant Boy was a booming winner first up at Wingatui before being luckless over 1400m at the New Zealand Cup carnival.
Shane Anderton said he was confident his horse will handle the big step up in distance to 2030m.
Who Dares Wins is another big Cromwell Cup chance.
Son Of Maher, with Chowdhoory’s 4kg claim, will carry 56kg in tomorrow's 1400m open handicap.
"It is the sort of the race you do expect him to be winning," Pitman said.
"I thought he was very unlucky in the Couplands Mile [when sixth], not only because he ended up with a track not to suit, but also he ran out of room a couple of times. He is back to company he should be very, very competitive in."
Rival El Bee Darci will be shooting for a hat-trick of wins.
The Russell McKay-trained 6yr-old bolted in at his last start in premier company over 1400m at the New Zealand Cup carnival.
Before that run he was a good winner on his home track at Ashburton.
However, prior to those wins he finished last at Timaru.
"He is just one of those horses that if anything goes wrong that’s it.
"We took blood off him after Timaru and there was nothing wrong with him.
"The vet actually recommended we take the tongue tie off him and put a crossover noseband on him and he has won his next two.
"Who knows if the tongue tie is why he has won. He is just thriving for some reason."
Kiwi Ida, the winner of the Canterbury Breeders’ Stakes, looks the main threat to El Bee Darci and Son Of Maher.
