Stirling recorded the fastest time at the Ashburton trials yesterday with 2400m in 3.06.
The unraced Live Or Die-Mona's Pride 3yr-old trained by John Versteeg, qualified in 3.07.8 from a standing start at Ashburton in March.
Enrage and Eilish Finn, who have both had stable changes since they last raced, won trials yesterday.
Enrage, now trained by David and Catherine Butt, ran his last 800m in 56.6.
The Tinted Cloud gelding was a winner at Addington last August when trained by Martin Larter.
Enrage has not raced since September.
Eilish Finn, now trained by Mark Jones, ran home in 57.
The Holmes Hanover mare who last raced in April, won at Waterlea in June last year when trained by Mark Smolenski.
