Texican will head to Australia on Sunday for the Breeders Crown series in a change of plans.
The Cran Dalgety-trained Texican posted his 11th win for the season at Addington last Friday night. His wins include the Sires' Stakes Final at Addington in November and a heat of the Breeders Crown at Addington this month.
Bit Of A Legend, Onlyforyou and Chanelle Bromac are booked to fly from Auckland to Melbourne today for the Breeders Crown. Texican will join them at the Melbourne stable of Brent Lilley.
The Dalgety quartet will be in the care of Dexter Dunn, who will be in Melbourne until the finals of the series on August 19.
The 2yr-old Bit Of A Legend has won won three of his last four starts including a heat of the BC at Cambridge.
The 2yr-old filly Chanelle Bromac also won a heat at Cambridge and 2yr-old filly Onlyforyou won a heat at Rangiora. The quartet move on to the semifinals.
Dunn ended the season with 198 wins and over $2 million in stakes in New Zealand, the fifth successive season he has been leading reinsman.
Ricky May will drive Rockin Roll Lad at Addington tomorrow night in the absence of Dunn.
Ultimate Player, an entrant for the Kurow Cup on Sunday, is now trained by Jamie Gameson.
Ultimate Player was claimed by Murray Swain after his win at Addington last Friday. He has won five races from the Brendon Hill stable.
