Outside backs Nehe Milner-Skudder and David Havili will rejoin the squad after being released before the trip to Sydney.
Auckland loose forward Akira Ioane and prop Kane Hames have also been called in, along with apprentice front-rower Atu Moli.
Hames is likely to take the bench berth of veteran loosehead Wyatt Crockett, who suffered a head knock late in New Zealand's 54-34 win in Sydney on Saturday.
Chiefs prop Hames (28) played his lone Test against Australia when he came off the bench in the 42-8 win in Sydney last year.
Outside backs Milner-Skudder and Havili were both part of the original squad, but didn't travel to Sydney, while young prop Moli is an apprentice player throughout the Rugby Championship.
No explanation is given for the call-up of uncapped No 8 Ioane.
Flanker Jerome Kaino could be in doubt for the Dunedin Test after flying home from Sydney for personal reasons, triggered by a newspaper report of an extra- marital affair.
Coach Steve Hansen may not consider many other changes following his team's rampant opening 50 minutes on Saturday when they raced 54-6 ahead.
However, he said he would be seeking improvements after the Wallabies closed out the scoring with four converted tries, winning the second half 28-14.
"We got enough in that last 30 to be able to get our teeth into to make sure we are not complacent at all going into the Dunedin test," Hansen told journalists.
"Because they scored four tries to two in the second half. There is enough for us to work on which is reasonably handy for a coach - quite good."
• The second Bledisloe Cup test at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium begins at 7.35pm on Saturday.
