Former All Blacks and Otago forward Frank McAtamney died on Waitangi Day, aged 87.
McAtamney’s sole test came against the Springboks during the famous 1956 tour, but he also played eight games for the All Blacks on a tour of Australia the following year.
He was schooled at St Kevin’s College and a member of the Strath Taieri club. He played 38 games for Otago before concentrating on farming, and was living in Geraldine when he died.
