The Highlanders switched from rugby to multisport yesterday as they were put through their paces in a gruelling fitness challenge on the final day of their pre-Christmas training block.
Players swam laps of the Port Chalmers pool, cycled Te Ara Moana Trail and ran to the top of Signal Hill.Prop Daniel Lienert-Brown starts the challenge with a lap of the Port Chalmers pool, All Blacks prop Ethan de Groot, officially on leave, pitches in with a stint on the bicycle and halfback Folau Fakatava winds down after the event.
