Ben Smith 7/10: Timed a well angled run into the line to finish off a try. Kicked well from the back and was outstanding in his kick receptions.
Waisake Naholo 7.5/10: Continues to impress with his flair. Exploded off his left foot to beat Rob Horne in a one-on-one in a sequence which led to a yellow card and the first try, while showed his pace to finish off the second. In the second half he made a try saving cover tackle in the corner.
Malakai Fekitoa 7.5/10: Outstanding once again on defence. Showed intelligence in his spot tackle on Israel Folau and then brilliance in taking the ball straight off him in the game's defining moment.
Shaun Treeby 6.5/10: Got the ball through his hands quickly and tidied up a few loose balls well. Defended well for the most part and ripped the ball off Will Skelton in a play which led to a try.
Patrick Osborne 8/10: Came to life in the second half after a quiet first 40. Scored a brilliant try in which he made the initial break up the left wing and finished on the right. Got involved a lot and was a threat with his power and footwork.
Lima Sopoaga 6/10: Was a bit of a mixed bag. Made a couple of basic errors early on with the boot, but then became prominent through his running game and had one of his better defensive outings.
Aaron Smith 7.5/10: Looked lively, sniping on occasion and passing well. Kicked well from the base and showed good awareness in using Osborne on the blind side to spark the movement which led to the fourth try.
Nasi Manu 7.5/10: Was much more like the Nasi Manu of old, doing damage with ball in hand and was relentless on defence.
John Hardie 6.5/10: Went down with what looked like a nasty injury, although played well before hand. Made a few tackles and ran the ball hard.
Elliot Dixon 8/10: Absolutely outstanding in probably the best performance from a Highlanders blindside flanker since Adam Thomson left. Made 15 tackles, many of which were on backs out wide in the open. Ran well too, on one occasion bouncing off Michael Hooper to set up a try, while showing off his aerial skills at the lineout and kickoffs.
Joe Wheeler 6.5/10: Defended well and was at the forefront of a number of the great defensive efforts under pressure.
Tom Franklin 7/10: Strong on defence as well and posed a threat by showing the awareness to look to offload.
Ross Geldenhuys 7.5/10: Easily his best game, prominent on defence and got better at scrum time as the game wore on, in the end he was all over Benn Robinson.
Liam Coltman 7.5/10: Another top performer, particularly in the early stages of the game. Brought intensity in his ball carrying and was prominent on defence.
Josh Hohneck 7/10: Similar to Geldenhuys, worked hard on defence and was strong in the scrum, one time in particular he got the better of Sekope Kepu in a strong display.
Ash Dixon 7/10: Picked up from where Coltman finished, threw himself into contact and was strong on defence. Threw the ball into the lineout well too.
Brendon Edmonds 6.5/10: Made a couple of good defensive plays, including knocking the ball loose to regain possession while defending in the 22. Not quite as good at scrum time, but closed the game out well.
Pingi Tala'apitaga 6.5/10: Went looking for work on defence, missing a couple of tackles, but making quite a few too in his 19 minutes.
Mark Reddish 7/10: Added physicality and was active defensively.
Gareth Evans 7/10: Was fast around the field, tackled well and attacked the breakdowns aggressively.
Fumiaki Tanaka (No Rating): Came on late and was tidy in finishing the game off.
Marty Banks 5/10: Did not add spark, although was solid for the most part. Loses a point for missing touch with his clearance in the dying stages, a play which cost seven points.
Jason Emery (No Rating): Played the final eight minutes and was tidy enough.
