Maheno signalled it is a team on the rise with a dominant win over Valley in a North Otago club rugby game at Weston today.

After drawing two of its first three games, Maheno recorded its first win by beating Valley 39-14.

Old Boys, held to a draw by Maheno last week, ran rampant over Excelsior in a rematch of the 2015 final, winning 69-7.

At Kurow, the home side beat Athletic Marist 34-10.
