University B are poised to return to the top tier of Dunedin club rugby after beating Southern 27-24 to win the premier 2 competition at Tahuna Park today.
The students will play bottom placed premier 1 team Zingari-Richmond next Saturday in a bid to join University A in the top competition next year.
The outstanding player for the students was centre Connor Talimanu who made several breaks up through the centre.
Lock Nick Grant helped the students dominate the lineout with six clean takes.
