A man on a mobility scooter struck by a car in the Canterbury town of Waimate has died, police have confirmed.
Don McCabe, of Waimate, suffered serious injuries after colliding with the vehicle in Harris St on Monday evening.
The 85-year-old was taken to Timaru Hospital, but died on Tuesday, police said tonight.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances of the collision.
