A police spokeswoman said emergency services were notified at 2pm of the two-car crash on the Wānaka-Luggate Highway, near the intersection with Ballantyne Rd.
A Hato Hone St John spokesman said two ambulances have responded to the scene.
Paramedics assessed three people at the scene in a moderate condition.
A reporter at the scene said she could see a campervan laying on its side in a ditch on the side of State Highway 6.
The highway was fully reopened at 4.10pm, the NZ Transport Agency/Waka Kotahi advised.
