Greenpark A and Broadfield A will meet in the Selwyn premier netball final for the second consecutive year on Saturday.

Top qualifiers, Broadfield A had a tougher time than expected against Lincoln A before prevailing 57-49, while Greenpark A had an easier time against Greenpark B, winning 57-41.

Lincoln A trailed by two goals after the first quarter but eventually found their rhythm.

Coach Yvonne Crichton-Hill said she felt the first-quarter performance was caused by nerves but once the team settled, they built the lead steadily.

Lincoln A coach Dawn Dalley said she could not have been prouder of her team after the scraped into the final four with a win over Southbridge.

"The girls proved they deserved to be there and showed they could compete and hopefully that gives us confidence to build on next year."

Greenpark B player/coach Mechelle Barltrop said she was hoping for a faster start to put the defending champions under pressure but it just did not happen.

Greenpark A coach Zaylie Sullivan said it was a much more clinical performance than when the two teams met the previous week for their round-robin game.

Greenpark A beat Broadfield A by one goal in the final last year.
