Do you do and say things when drinking you regret the next day? Is alcohol a problem for you or someone you care about?

The popularity of OAR FM programme AA Live suggests that many New Zealanders are keen to hear from those who have found sobriety through Alcoholics Anonymous.

The show was named Most Popular Podcast at the station’s recent Air Awards and has consistently rated highly among the station’s online offerings.

AA Live is hosted by members of the AA Otago Intergroup, who share conversations with others who have experienced recovery from alcoholism through AA.

A recent edition included conversations about the tensions that can build during the holiday season and offered strategies for handling social gatherings.

Other episodes explore each step of AA’s 12-step programme and feature real-life stories from those who have benefited from the fellowship of shared experience.

AA Live is broadcast on 105.4FM and 1575AM fortnightly on Tuesday at 9pm and Sunday at 8pm. Podcasts are available from oar.org.nz and other major platforms.

A full schedule of OAR FM programmes can be found at www.oar.org.nz.
