Centre manager and head teacher Sonya Jephson said the children were learning about the importance of giving back because some people did not have much food in their pantries or fridges.
Children brought food items to fill the pantry, she said. Earlier in the year, Mitre 10 Mega gave the centre the pantry, and planter boxes so they could grow their own vegetables to share.
