A petition aimed at preventing another liquor store from opening in a Christchurch suburb is gathering signatures.

A review into the annual contribution of up to $600k from ratepayers to the Christchurch Foundation is currently under way. Some see the funding as an inappropriate use of public money, while others see it as an investment in the city’s future.
