Thykk Yoghurt has been named supreme winner of this year's Audacious business challenge.
The organic yoghurt was the brainchild of University of Otago student Alice Marsh and business partner Hamish Macintosh.
It was also one of three Otago fledgling businesses recently selected to go through to the next stage of the ANZ Flying Start business plan competition.
Rate My Flat was named runner-up at the Audacious awards function held in Dunedin yesterday.
The Getting Creative category was won by Reidar Paulson and Sam Gray, of Second Spine, who created a device that allowed visually impaired people to access library materials.
Doing Good was won by Cooking Bee, made up of Bella Bloomfield, Katie Noble and Melissa Barry, who provide weekly cooking sessions.
Acting Now was won by Virtual Property (Keir Russell, Mariya Semenova and Ryan Walker), a photography company that used multiple top-end adventure cameras, with a specially-designed camera mount to rapidly create hi-resolution panoramic images for real estate, property management and asset management.
Ben Alder and Jamie Pottinger, from The Wander Wagon, won the Thinking Big category, offering an alternative to camping grounds and hostel accommodation.
