Come March 2015, Invercargill with be buzzing with women of the dairy industry as they converge on Southland's main centre for the Dairy Women's Network (DWN) national conference.
DWN Invercargill regional convener Katrina Thomas said the organisation for the conference was now well under way with the national conference committee putting in large amounts of time and effort to make it a memorable event.
The national conference committee had been put together from representatives from across the country and included five representatives from Southland.
Ms Thomas said some of the members of the organising committee had been involved with the 2011 conference that was also held in Invercargill and brought great experience to the committee.
The theme of the 2015 conference is ''Entering Tomorrow's World''.
The national conference committee is being chaired by Heddon Bush dairy farmer Loshni Manikam.
The committee had goals in place for the conference which included enhancing the DWN brand and being professional and well run.
Ms Thomas hoped delegates would find the conference inspiring and motivating as it was hoped they would be able to take away valuable knowledge that could be used in their own businesses.
''Personally, I want delegates to be talking among themselves about what they will be doing differently when they get back to their farming business.''
''It would be good to know that they felt the financial and personal time invested in the conference had exceeded their expectations.''
The 2015 national conference will have Emma Woolsey attending for the first time as Gore regional group convener after taking over the role from Rachael Nicholson last month.
Ms Thomas was hoping registrations would be open before Christmas.
