Nettl Dunedin area manager Paul Johnson said the agency in lower High St won three awards at the Redshift Design Awards in Wellington on Saturday.
The Dunedin agency won the Redshift Corporate Studio Of The Year award, beating seven other branches across New Zealand.
Reasons judges gave for the win include the Dunedin agency’s consistent growth and better performance than its counterparts in bigger cities across New Zealand.
‘‘Not bad for the studio with the smallest business area and a great example of how local talent punches above its weight in business.’’
The other two staff at the agency won medals for work completed for Liquid Assets juice bar in the lower Octagon.
Lead creative Mike Palmer won a silver in the websites category and creative Britte van der Pouw won a bronze in the communication category for brochures and flyers.
Nettl opened in Dunedin three years ago and its target market was small businesses, he said.
The award was recognition of small businesses doing well in Dunedin.
‘‘We are flat out.’’
The busyness could also be due to more small businesses owners realising the importance of having an online presence, he said.
