The update to iPhone 4, which runs the dual-core A5 chip used in the second-generation iPad, will go on sale on Friday, November 11.
Pre-orders will be available from this Friday.
The device comes in either black or white, with the 16GB model selling for $1049, the 32GB version for $1199 and the new 64GB for $1349.
When released last month in a handful of countries including the US and Australia, Apple claimed to have sold more than four million handsets in just three days.
The Cupertino, California-based tech giant said this was almost twice as fast as the iPhone 4 sold.
New Zealand's release will coincide with the phone going on sale in Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Malta, Montenegro, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania and South Korea.
New features include Siri, a voice-controlled digital assistant, and full 1080p video recording.
