Rod Stewart has not lost his popularity amongst Kiwis with all tickets for his February 2012 show at Napier's Mission Estate Winery sold over the weekend.
The last time Mission tickets sold so fast was for Rod Stewart's 2005 show.
"He still retains the record of being the fastest seller," Mission Estate Winery chief executive officer Peter Holley said today.
More than 24,000 tickets sold within a few hours of going on sale to Mission Concert Club members on Saturday.
The rest of the tickets were snapped up within 20 minutes of becoming available at ticket outlets around the country this morning.
This would be the 20th show that Mission Estate Winery had hosted, Mr Holley said.
"From our perspective, we are absolutely delighted that we have been able to attract an artist of Rod Stewart's calibre and that the public are supporting us in the way they have in previous years."
