We shouldn't judge a pinot noir by its colour. Often we associate darker red wines with more flavour but that's not always the case with pinot. A lighter coloured pinot noir can still have concentration and length.

At three years old this oozes spicy oak with hints of cedar, but the following day, the charming, dark cherry fruit had emerged and the oak taken a supportive role. Well-structured with fine grained tannins, this stylish wine from the acclaimed Clayvin vineyard will continue to develop for another few years.
