Busker to face court over molestation

A busker will face a sentence hearing for molesting a five-year-old girl in the playground of a South Australian school.

Michael John Molloy, 26, was found guilty in August of aggravated indecent assault in November 2013 at a Mount Gambier primary school playground.

But Judge Wayne Chivell, who heard the trial without a jury, found him not guilty of unlawful sexual intercourse by digital penetration.

At his trial, Molloy admitted that on the previous night he had searched the internet for child pornography, using terms, including 'I will rape a pre-teen girl today' and 'little nude girls'.

He said he drew pornography and wrote pornographic captions on his guitar and other items on the same night while under the influence of methamphetamine.

He will face a sentence hearing in the District Court.
