A suspected armed robber has been shot by police after a lengthy car chase southwest of Brisbane.
The man is in hospital being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police allege he was armed with a gun when he was shot by officers near Killarney on Friday night.
They began following the man's car at Aratula, 75km northeast of Killarney.
A tyre deflation device was used to stop the car at about 9.30pm (AEST).
"In the circumstances that followed, a man in the vehicle was shot by police," a police statement said.
A female passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries unrelated to the shooting, police said.
The incident will be investigated by the Queensland Police Ethical Standards Command, which examines all shootings by police.
