Harness Racing New Zealand has received about 300 public submissions on what should happen to former Dunedin racing venue Forbury Park.
The feedback will be considered by Harness Racing NZ and Forbury Park Trotting Club during negotiations about the St Kilda site and the potential selection of a buyer.
Options for the 12.2ha site include housing, water detention areas, retaining some of the park’s buildings and using the area to increase St Clair School’s playing fields.
Forty people attended community drop-in sessions in South Dunedin on September 20 and 21.
Public submissions were received online through a short survey, by email and in writing.
Racing ended at the venue in July.
