The future is not looking bright for a thief who snatched thousands of dollars of high-fashion sunglasses.
Police say they have CCTV footage of the person suspected of stealing about $30,000 of high-fashion branded sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut in Meridian Mall on Wednesday night.
The sunglasses were stolen sometime between 7.10pm and 11pm, Senior Sergeant Liz Waru said.
A shop attendant returned to the kiosk in the mall the next day and found "three drawers open with the locks standing upright indicating they had been popped open", she said.
There was no damage to the drawers or the locks.
Police want to hear from anyone who has information about the theft.
