The fourth annual event will include Mitre 10 builder Stan Scott racing to build as many items as he can to be auctioned at the end of the event to begin fundraising for next year's Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Mr Scott will have 14 hours to build items ranging from an outdoor table and chairs to barbecue tables and work benches at the event, to be held on November 2 and 3.
Another event will be the New Zealand Chefs Association Kiwi Kids Can Cook competition.
Contestants will have to devise, create and present their favourite dish in just half an hour.
At least one New Zealand-grown vegetable will have to be included in their recipe.
Celebrity chef Brett McGregor will judge the finals.
There will be other cooking and baking competitions as part of the Whitestone Cheese Fresh Food Show. Annabel and Simon Berry will present At My Table, a seminar featuring the ultimate celebration table.
