Ever wanted to chew the bat - I mean, fat - with Ozzy Osbourne? Fans of Black Sabbath will get the chance to do just that when the band performs at Forsyth Barr Stadium next year.

Ticket prices released by promoter Live Nation yesterday included seated and general admission tickets ranging from $149.90 to $169.90 for the band's April 30 show in Dunedin.

But they also included a suite of VIP packages, including an ''ultimate experience'' costing $2519.

Fans paying for the package would have their photo taken with Black Sabbath, access to the band's sound check and permission to ask Ozzy Osbourne ''anything'' during a ''very intimate'' Q&A session in his dressing room.

They would also get early entry to the venue to ensure a front-row spot when the band performed, among other perks, Live Nation said.

Dunedin Venues Management Ltd chief executive Terry Davies expected there would be a market for the VIP packages in Dunedin.

''We know from feedback since the announcement that there is a huge number of Black Sabbath fans in the South.''

Pre-sale tickets would be available from Wednesday, followed by general ticket sales on September 21.

Black Sabbath's final tour will take in the United States before the band plays in Australia and New Zealand.

Some media have reported more international tour dates will be announced next month.
