Columba College pupils reigned over the competition at last night's Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme regional awards.

Reine, a company run by Columba College pupils Avila Kan, Claudia Sim, Jamie Wood, Christie Wood, Ailish Wallace-Buckland and Emily Williams, scooped the overall winner's award, the sustainable business award and award for best annual review.

The company, which produced the promotional booklet ''Good Dunedin'', was one of 16, plus 75 individuals, taking part.

Young Enterprise Scheme Otago region co-ordinator Paul Allen, of the Otago Chamber of Commerce, said the calibre of the entrants was ''very high'' and it was hard to choose category winners.

Reine will represent Otago at the national awards in Wellington on December 10.

The other winners were.-Best marketing plan: Virotizer, Otago Girls' High School.

Best sales performance: Grind, St Hilda's Collegiate School. Best financial performance: Amiki, Columba College.

Best oral presentation: CEMCAA, St Hilda's Collegiate School. Most investment potential: Virotizer.
