Concord cordon lifted after armed police callout

A man has been taken into custody "without incident'' following an armed callout to a Dunedin suburb.

Police were called to a Concord address following reports of a domestic incident this morning, Senior Sergeant Brian Benn, of Dunedin, said.

The Armed Offenders Squad was called as a precaution as the man may have had access to a firearm.

No threats were made and the man was taken into custody "without incident'', he said.

The cordon had been lifted.
