A contractor digging in York Pl damaged a cable causing a huge power outage in central Dunedin this morning.
The DCC offices, Dunedin Public Library, Golden Centre and Meridian Mall were all affected by the cut, which hit more than 1500 consumers in the CBD and City Rise area about 11.10am.
Aurora Energy said power was restored to all customers by 12:37pm.
