The Cove crash injures four

Four people were taken to Dunedin Hospital after a serious head-on collision in Portobello Rd yesterday. 

A police spokesman said emergency services responded to the crash at The Cove, on the Otago Peninsula, at 1.30pm following several calls from the public. 

The road was blocked for a time while the scene was cleared, the spokesman said. 

A Hato Hone St John spokesman said four people were transported to hospital.

Three were in a serious condition and another was in a moderate condition, he said.
