Diwali festival guests fly in from India

Visiting Indian dance group Kalika Kala Kenra, of Maharashtra, performed at a colourful celebration of the Diwali festival on Saturday in Dunedin’s  Octagon.

The dancers are (from left) Rani Kale, Shital Kale, Aarati Kale Nagarkar, Rajashri Kale Nagarkar, Aarti Javale and Ragini Kale. The folk dancers were brought to New Zealand by the Asia New Zealand Foundation, the Indian High Commission and Air New Zealand.
