Another instance of dodgy Dunedin driving has been caught on camera, this time involving a car using one of the city's cycleways.

The footage, taken by Nick Rutledge on dashcam yesterday afternoon, shows a car being driven in the cycleway on Castle St, then swerving through traffic by Toitu Otago Settlers Museum.

Nick says he reported the incident to police, who today said they were reviewing the footage.

A police spokesperson said it was an opportunity to remind drivers that ''our roads are not a race track''.

''Every person in New Zealand has the right to feel safe and be safe when travelling from place to place.

Police were committed, alongside their road safety partners, to reducing death and injury on our roads.

''Anyone who witnesses dangerous driving is urged to report it immediately.''
