The Taieri premier side continued on its march to the title with a 20-3 victory over Dunedin in the premier semifinal at University Oval on Saturday.
Played in wet conditions, with the rain bucketing down at times, Taieri was in control for the whole contest against the only side it has lost to this year.
The Taieri team led 10-3 at the break and a try early in the second half to winger Shannon Young sealed the win for the side.
It was sweet revenge for Taieri, which lost to Dunedin in last year's final.
It will face University A in the final. Taieri had beaten the students twice this year already but both have been close victories.
Highlanders first five-eighth Hayden Parker may be available for Taieri though no decision will be made until later in the week.
In the premier two final, the same two sides will meet - Taieri and University.
The Taieri premier 2 side got through the final after a nailbiting win over Southern.
The game was locked up 21-all at fulltime at Bathgate Park but Taieri scored a try early in the first half of extra time and managed to hang on in the mud in South Dunedin.
This game is scheduled to be played at University Oval at noon on Saturday.
In the senior grade, West Taieri had a convincing win over Harbour and will face Eastern at Outram on Saturday in the senior final.
West Taieri has been unbeaten all season and will be looking for the win to complete a dream season and also exact revenge for last year.
It lost the final last year by one point to Strath Taieri.
