The pipes were calling Dunedin residents at the weekend as pipe bands from Christchurch south battled it out at the Otago/Southland Pipe Band Championships.

On Saturday, 14 bands competed in the Octagon and yesterday they were at it again at North Ground.

Otago Daily Times photographer Gregor Richardson made a wee visit to both spots.
