Four people have come forward to contest one empty seat on the Mosgiel Taieri Community Board.
A by-election was forced after John Kelly resigned from his position on the board last month. Nominations for the vacant position closed on Thursday and attracted former Dunedin city councillor Maurice Prendergast along with Pam Mason, Geoff Woodcock and Neville Jemmett.
Voting documents will be delivered by June 25, with the by-election scheduled for July 17.
