Four people injured in North East Valley

Firefighters work at the scene of a crash where four people were injured in North East Valley yesterday.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said Fenz was called to reports of a crash at the intersection of Bank and Dolphin Sts at 10.34am.

Two fire appliances from Willowbank and Dunedin Central attended.

Three cars were involved in the crash.

It was initially reported an unknown number of people were trapped in the cars, but four people were out of their vehicles when Fire and Emergency crews arrived.

A St John spokesman said two people were moderately injured, and two others had minor injuries.

All were transported to Dunedin Hospital.
