The Royal Dunedin Male Choir marked another chapter in its illustrious history at Dunedin Town Hall last night, with its 393rd concert.

Founded in 1886, the choir has had 17 musical directors, 27 pianists, hundreds of members, and three performances before royalty — hence the royal patent.

Last night’s concert had it joined by guest artists violinist Nathaniel Otley, organist David Burchell, baritone Scott Bezett, pianist Moriah Osborne and soprano Anna Leese.

A review will be published tomorrow.
