Geotechnical work expected to confirm Mosgiel pool site

Geotechnical work at the site next to the Mosgiel Pool wrapped up on Friday after a drilling rig bored the last of about 20 test holes in the car park, sports fields and flood bank near the 1930s-era pool, as the Dunedin City Council’s project team progresses its plans for a new $15 million pool for the city suburb.

The council’s infrastructure services committee was advised last week the work was expected to allow the site to be confirmed as the new pool site.
