It is all set to go.
Now, drama awaits.
Who is going to be the lucky pupil who gets to ride it first?
Waitati School will open its new flying fox next Thursday after its old one was decommissioned two years ago.

Waitati School pupil Polly McEwan, 8, holds a key to the seat on the flying fox as classmate Asher Gibson, 10, patiently waits for next Thursday when the ride opens.
The children had identified it as really important to them and the community.
To raise money for its construction, the school hosted a "flying fox fair" at which they sold printed T-shirts they had made, ceramic tiles and food items.
It cost $17,000 to build, and the pupils managed to raise $10,000 at the fair.
The rest of the funds were community sourced, with lots of organisations chipping-in by either donating money or time to build.
