Governor-General to conduct ceremony

Governor-General Sir Anand Satyanand will conduct an investiture ceremony at Dunedin's Larnach Castle on Tuesday, thought to be the first time in many years such a ceremony has been held in the city.

The last investiture ceremony was held at Government House, in Wellington, in September last year, before the building closed for a three-year conservation project.

Since then investiture ceremonies have been held throughout the country.

Twenty-one people are to be honoured at the ceremony, including Dunedin City councillor and broadcaster Neil Collins, The Wizard of New Zealand Ian Brackenbury Channell, netballer Belinda Charteris and Christchurch deputy mayor Norm Withers.
