Principal Jen Rogers said, earlier this week, grass seeds were drilled into the school’s section of Forbury Park it acquired in 2022.
"Now just need to wait for the grass to grow."
She said the field would hopefully be ready by October.
At this stage, it would just serve as a big expanse of grass.
There were lots of ideas for the site, including building a bike skills track, amphitheatre or a water feature on the grass and the school was consulting its community.
