Highlanders' visit brings good cheer

Highlanders lock Josh Dickson and Radius Fulton Care Centre resident Morris White (74) share a joke. Dickson and winger Tevita Li visited the Dunedin rest-home yesterday, before the team’s match tonight against the Stormers.

Mr White was feeling optimistic about the team’s chances this season, given the arrival of new coach Aaron Mauger.

‘‘He brings the Canterbury idea that ‘no man is bigger than the team’,’’ he said. The players visited the home to bring some cheer to the residents who returned recently, after the home was evacuated during February’s flood, facility manager Robyn Bowie said. PHOTO: PETER MCINTOSH.
