Hub volunteer Richard Dreux, of Broad Bay, said nearly 100 people attended the community health day.
The event had been created to coincide with a visit to the hub in Lockerbie St by the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation’s pink caravan.
However, the caravan did not make it to Dunedin because of access issues caused by the Kaikoura earthquake.
Despite the caravan no-show, the event continued and included live music, yoga and an exercise programme.
Community services on offer at the event ranged from blood pressure checks to support for problem gambling.
The Dunedin City Council would give the hub $2000 to create a "homework club" to provide after-school support for children, it was announced at the event.
