Otago high school pupils took to the Edgar Centre stage in Dunedin last night for the penultimate outing of this year’s Otago Polyfest.

Showing off their moves were pupils from Dunedin’s Logan Park High School (above) and Waitaki Boys’ High School (below), in Oamaru.

This year marks the event’s first online-only run in its 28-year history, due to Covid-19 restrictions. Covid forced its cancellation last year.

More than 60 schools and performance groups were taking part in the event, which wraps up with a final day of performances today.

Performances were being streamed live on the Otago Polyfest Facebook page.

Our journalists are your neighbours

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

You can help us continue to bring you local news you can trust by becoming a supporter.
