A popular city view from Unity Park has been restored following weeding and trimming work by the Dunedin City Council.

Before the upkeep, a member of the public had contacted the council in March, saying the park used to be the "go-to place" to showcase the city.

In response, council staff carried out maintenance work including cutting back trees and bushes to present the once hidden view over the cityscape.
